Community Health Advocates Members Program (c.h.a.m.p.)

Our CHAMPs are local residents, college and university students providing meaningful community service through internships while earning stipends. They live within the communities they serve recognizing that marginalized communities face inequitable access to healthcare and essential resources. The program's design develops trusted community ambassadors who help us close the gaps on such disparities. CHAMPs receive training in community engagement, health literacy, and service delivery navigation for screening and safety net resources. These members play a vital role in strengthening connections between underserved communities and resources that support health, well-being, and informed decision-making.
