As the year's end quickly approaches we challenge you to become a source of hope. 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the US in their lifetime and thereafter, seek vital and necessary safety-net resources to sustain their lives. For African American women the survival statistics are daunting. It is therefore imperative that social services and resources exist to serve those in need and in bridging the climatic divide of health disparities that traditionally face this marginalized population. Giving Tuesday is right around the corner and your opportunity to make an impactful difference in the lives of these women. Your help will allow us to further our mission, increase access to quality care, provide culturally competent structured services, and to enhance the treatment completion goals anticipated by these women and their families.
