Breast Reconstruction Awareness

“As breast cancer survival rates increase, the focus of breast cancer management must shift to include the restoration of a patient’s quality of life after cancer”. Breast reconstruction plays a crucial role in the restoration of normalcy for women. We invite you to join us on August 20, 2022, as we share our experiences with breast reconstruction (from the patient’s perspective).

Knowing which breast reconstruction options are available to you and why is an essential part of decision-making when opting for a mastectomy. Often our decisions feel rushed and unresearched based on the devasting impact of a diagnosis coupled with our desire to quickly remedy situations. Register here.

Hear what we as recipients of a variety of procedures have to say about what we chose, whom we chose (surgeons), and why. As we further explore how much we knew then and what we now know, as well as credible resources now available. Like the old adage, when you know better, you do better. We strive to empower you.

This is part 1 of a two-part series where we continue to explore options. Part 2 will take place this October with the aid of plastic surgeons 2022 who specialize in breast reconstruction, and other subject matter experts.

This event requires registration. It is free and open to the public.
