About the Event

Knowing which breast reconstruction options are available to you and why is a crucial part of decision-making when opting to have a mastectomy. Often our decisions are rushed and hurried based on the devasting impact of a diagnosis coupled with our desire to remedy the situation.

Hear what we survivors share on what we did and why as we explore how much we knew about our options and choices at that time and what we know now. As well as our satisfaction with our outcomes.

We do understand that everyone is different as is their approach to emotional health and physical well-being. Every woman is entitled to assess their own situation and make their own decisions, which may not necessarily be informed decisions.

This is the first part of a two-part series where we continue our exploration into facts and myths, available choices, and options with the aid of a plastic surgeon who specializes in breast reconstruction (Part 2).

This event requires registration. Click the "Register Now" link to reserve your space. It is free and open to the public.
