About Our Panelists
Peter W. Henderson, M.D. MBA, FACSÂ
Dr. Henderson  is more than a Breast Reconstructive Surgeon - He holds several current titles. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Icahn School of Medicine Mount Sinai in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department. He is the Director of Plastic Surgery Research. He owns and operates Henderson Breast Reconstruction as the CEO and Director of Surgical Services. He was educated and also served as a trainer at several prestigious higher learning institutions and medical centers such as:

Dennis R Holmes, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Holmes is an internationally-renowned breast surgeon specializing in the surgical treatment of breast cancer and non-cancerous breast conditions. He completed his medical education at Tulane University School of Medicine, surgical residency in general surgery at the University of San Francisco, and a fellowship in breast surgery at the University of Southern California.
As a dedicated breast surgeon, Dr. Holmes has dedicated his career to breast cancer treatment innovation to reduce the burden of breast cancer care. He was a pioneering investigator in the TARGIT-A clinical trial that established the effectiveness of single-dose targeted intraoperative partial breast radiotherapy as an alternative to conventional 6-week daily whole breast radiotherapy. He currently serves as Co-Principal Investigator of the TARGIT U.S. Registry Trial and as President of the TARGIT Collaborative Group, a national organization of surgeons, radiation oncologists, and physicists committed to improving cancer patient care through education, patient advocacy, mentorship, and collaborative research. Dr. Holmes also serves as the national principal investigator of the FROST trial, a multicenter trial evaluating the role of cryoablation or tumor freezing in the management of early-stage breast cancer.
Dr. Holmes is a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and currently holds the position of Program Chair of the 20th Annual National Meeting of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and co-chair of the Oncoplastic Surgery Committee, and chaired the development of the society’s performance and practice guideline for the use of neoadjuvant systemic therapy in the management of breast cancer.
Jay K. Harness, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Dr. Harness is the Chief Medical Officer of the Maple Tree Cancer Alliance. Dr. Harness received both his MD degree and training in general surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor. He then remained on the faculty at the University of Michigan and developed one of the first United States academic multidisciplinary breast centers in 1985. Over the past 36 years, he has started 3 additional multidisciplinary breast cancer programs across the Country.
Dr. Harness is a Past-President of The American Society of Breast Surgeons (ASBrS) and Breast Surgery International (BSI). He has authored over 100 scientific articles and book chapters and has been the lead editor of 3 textbooks. He is a co-founder and Medical Director of Breast Cancer Answers (www.breastcanceranswers.com) which is a Social Media video site for breast cancer patients, family members and friends.Â
Jeanette Abney, LMFT
Jeanette is the owner of two outpatient counseling centers providing services to adults, teens, and children. Her services include mental health, individual, family, couples counseling, crisis intervention, substance abuse, SAP Assessments, addictive behaviors, domestic violence, anger management, parenting, co-parenting, marital, pre-marital counseling and other court or probation-approved services. She has knowledge of Military Culture. I conduct groups, workshops, educational training and family interventions. She provides services in Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Murrieta, and Oceanside, CA. I also provide telehealth services.
She is a radio host on Blog Talk Radio Precious Predicaments. She is a Co-Author and Speaker. She comes with over 19 years of experience.. She is patient-centered and strives to bring out the best in an individual.Â
